1. Warranty Provider
This Limited Warranty (“Warranty”) is provided by Tech Revival, a registered business entity incorporated and operating in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, herein referred to as “Epic Deals,” ”Tech Revival,” “we,” “our,” or “us.”
2. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
This Warranty is governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act (No. 68 of 2008). Any disputes arising from or related to this Warranty shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
3. Scope of Warranty
This Warranty applies exclusively to eligible devices that meet the following criteria:
– Devices are purchased directly from Tech Revival t/a Epic Deals;
– Devices are listed as eligible for this Warranty on the Epic Deals official website at the time of purchase, the warranty period is the one mentioned in the title of the product;
– Devices are classified as Sealed, Mint, or Grade A condition at the point of sale;
– Devices are used exclusively within the Republic of South Africa.
– If the client chose to purchase an extension. This will cover any devices we sell.
This Warranty is valid for a period of 10 (ten) years from the date of purchase, subject to the limitations and conditions outlined herein.
4. Covered Defects
This Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, including but not limited to:
– Manufacturing defects in hardware components;
– Internal component failures not resulting from external damage;
– Display malfunctions that are not attributable to accidental or physical damage.
– Devices damaged in transit, provided the damage is reported within 2 working days of receipt.
– Incorrect devices delivered, provided the issue is reported on the day of receipt.
Battery coverage is limited to 1 (one) years from the date of purchase and includes:
– Battery not holding charge due to manufacturer defect;
– Abnormal degradation unrelated to user behavior.
5. Exclusions
This Warranty does not cover:
– Accidental damage, including cracks, dents, and drops;
– Water or liquid damage, regardless of advertised water resistance;
– Cosmetic damage such as scratches, scuffs, and discoloration;
– Normal wear and tear through regular usage (eg, batteries);
– Issues arising from software modifications, including jailbreaking, rooting, or unauthorized operating system modifications;
– Damage resulting from use of third-party or non-certified accessories;
– Damage caused by electrical surges, corrosion, or failure to care for the device.
– Loss or theft of the device;
– Devices used for commercial purposes, including but not limited to leasing, rentals, or resales.
6. Claim Procedure
To initiate a claim, the original purchaser must:
– Complete the Warranty Claim Form available on the Epic Deals official website;
– Submit ID (Photo of you holding ID next to your face & photo of your ID);
– Provide the device’s IMEI or serial number;
– Describe the defect or issue in sufficient detail.
Devices may be:
– Dropped off at Platinum Repairs, an authorized service provider affiliated with Tech Revival;
– Shipped directly to Tech Revival. Tech Revival will cover shipping for verified claims. If no defect is found, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs.
Customer obligations to claim:
– Customers must package the product safely and securely for protection during transit.
– All accessories and parts originally included with the product must be returned.
– No SIM cards, memory cards, or covers (unless sold with the device) should be included.
– Customers are responsible for backing up their data, as Tech Revival is not liable for any data loss during the return process.
– Failure to comply with these requirements may delay processing or result in the claim being declined.
7. Inspection and Determination
Tech Revival reserves the right to inspect any device returned under a warranty claim. If the inspection determines that the issue is covered under this Warranty, Tech Revival will, at its discretion:
– Repair the device using new or refurbished parts;
– Replace the device with the same or an equivalent fully working model of a similar age and condition;
– Provide a refund equivalent to the fair market second-hand value of the device at the time of claim, considering its age, use and condition, if repair or replacement is not feasible.
If accessories or parts originally sold with the device are not returned, Tech Revival may:
– Refuse the return.
– Replace only the returned item.
– Estimate the value of missing accessories and parts and deduct this from the refund or credit.
8. Limitations and Non-Transferability
This Warranty is limited to the original purchaser of the device and is non-transferable. Any resale, transfer, or gifting of the device voids this Warranty.
9. Voiding Conditions
The Warranty is void under any of the following conditions:
1. Unauthorized repair, opening or modification by third parties not approved in writing by Tech Revival
2. Jailbreaking, rooting, or installing unofficial firmware/software;
3. Use of non-certified or incompatible accessories resulting in damage;
4. Any physical damage to the device;
5. Damage caused by electrical surges, corrosion, or failure to care for the device.
6. Water or liquid damage;
7. Removal, tampering, or alteration of the device’s IMEI or serial number;
8. Evidence of misuse, neglect, or intentional damage;
9. Use in a commercial setting without prior written consent;
10. Failure to comply with the claims process or provide required documentation.
10. Legal Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tech Revival disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Under no circumstances shall Epic Deals be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the device.
